Dr. Ronit Almog, a senior gynecologist at Tel Aviv University’s Sourasky Healthcare Heart, told i24Information that in October—Breast Cancer Recognition Month—the Overseas Ministry questioned her to assemble a delegation of female physicians that would be sent to India.

The delegation used 8 days in the country, through which they examined about 1,000 ladies and furnished services that involved pap smears, ultrasounds and breast examinations. The medical professionals were sent to the South Asian region to “increase consciousness of women’s overall health in common, primarily for cancer,” in accordance to Almog.

“India is a nation in which gals are worried to even mention the word cancer. It is a little something maybe cultural, of disgrace, or perhaps panic from not having therapy and to have a stain on them and their loved ones,” she explained. “In India, the most common most cancers is breast most cancers, and the 2nd most typical most cancers is cervical most cancers. If you detect them early, it can really save life.”

She told i24News that in the presence of the feminine health professionals, a lot of women of all ages opened up about their wellbeing concerns and requested for aid and guidance.

Almog mentioned, “it was a terrific opportunity to stimulate Israeli and Indian relations, as effectively as to support a lot of females who [often] die of anything that we can prevent.”
