Cincinnati-Area Hospitals to Get ‘Mama Certified’

This spring, quite a few Cincinnati-region overall health systems will get part in the launch of a new plan to advance maternal wellbeing equity.

Termed “Mama Certified,” the program is intended to give Black mom and dad-to-be with a meaningful way to evaluate and look at the maternal-similar endeavours of Hamilton County, Ohio’s hospital networks and to motivate and help the hospitals’ increased efforts to be certain that Black mom and dad-to-be and their toddlers receive respect and treatment. 

Signing on to the new certification program are Christ Clinic Community, Mercy Wellness, TriHealth, UC Wellbeing and St. Elizabeth Health care. The program was formulated in partnership with The Health and fitness Collaborative, Queens Village, Cradle Cincinnati and nearby Black moms.

Under Mama Certified, wellbeing devices will be assessed for their endeavours throughout 4 groups: toddler treatment, maternal treatment, employees treatment and neighborhood treatment. Progress and success will be built publicly accessible to the community.
